1. What this policy covers

This policy applies to purchases of Psychiatry.Ink made directly from Psychiatry Ink Ltd — single-user subscriptions, Practice (organisation) plans, AI credit packs and gift vouchers — on every edition of the service, including the India edition.

Psychiatry.Ink is sold to clinicians and clinical organisations for professional use rather than to consumers for private purposes. The commitments below are given voluntarily. Where mandatory law grants you stronger rights, those rights apply in addition and are not affected by this policy.

Where a purchase is governed by a separate order form or written agreement, the terms of that document take precedence over this policy.

2. The one-month free trial comes first

The single-user plan begins with a one-month free trial that includes 500 AI credits. The trial gives you the complete workspace, so you can evaluate Psychiatry.Ink in your own clinical routine before you pay anything. If you cancel before the trial ends, you are never charged.

Because that month of unrestricted evaluation costs nothing, the paid subscription that follows a free trial is not refundable. The trial is the evaluation period; please use it.

3. 14-day refund on an initial purchase

Where your purchase was not preceded by a free trial — in particular Practice (organisation) plans and direct purchases such as AI credit packs — a 14-day refund window applies.

If you are not satisfied with your initial subscription purchase, you may request a full refund within 14 days of the original purchase date by contacting hello@psychiatry.ink.

4. When a refund is not available

Refunds are generally not available:

• for a paid subscription that followed a free trial period, because the trial already provided a full month of unrestricted evaluation at no cost,
• for subscription renewals after the initial purchase,
• after 14 days from the initial purchase,
• for a gift voucher whose code has already been redeemed, because the credits have at that point been issued to the recipient,
• where the service has been used fraudulently or in violation of our Terms of Service.

5. Cancelling is not the same as a refund

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation prevents future renewals but does not automatically entitle you to a refund for the current billing period unless required by applicable law.

After cancelling, you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you can export your data before it ends. Subscriptions bought through Paddle are cancelled in the Paddle customer portal, which is linked from the Credits page inside the workspace.

6. How approved refunds are paid

Refunds, where approved, will be issued to the original payment method. Any VAT or GST that was added at checkout is refunded together with the refunded amount.

If your purchase was processed through Paddle as Merchant of Record, Paddle may process and administer refunds on our behalf, and the credit appears on the statement of the card used at checkout. How quickly it appears depends on your bank or card issuer.

7. How to request a refund

Email us at hello@psychiatry.ink with the email address on the account, the invoice or transaction reference from your receipt, and the date of purchase. A short note on what did not work for you is welcome but not required.

We confirm receipt and tell you the outcome by email. A refund never deletes your workspace on its own — account closure and data deletion follow the separate windows described in our Privacy Notice.

8. Relationship to our Terms of Service

This policy is the billing policy referred to in our Terms of Service, which govern plans, billing, credits, renewals and cancellation in full.

We may update this policy. The version published on this page at the time of your purchase is the version that applies to that purchase.
